First Response Extension

Blair FunkCalling all voluntourists!  If you’re a traveler who loves to explore new terrain AND make a positive impact wherever you go, then this trip is for you. On the Israel Experience’s First Response Extension, you’ll spend an extra five days in Israel, learning how to save lives from the best–Israeli air force and marine medics, firefighters, rescue teams, and Magen David Adom EMTs—alongside other dedicated individuals. You will take part in an Israel Defense Forces search and rescue simulation, where you will gain life-saving skills from the delegation that touched down in Haiti. Best of all, you’ll be part of Taglit-Birthright Israel’s inaugural first responder certification course—preparing you to make a real difference back home.

First Response Extension is part of Taglit-Birthright Israel’s BR+ program, which enables participants to have meaningful   extended stays in Israel.

The Israel Experience encourages First Response Extension participants to also sign up for its 10-day Taglit-Birthright Israel trip—for more social action, more Israeli soldiers (they’re with us for all 10 days instead of just five), plus WIFI on all of our buses.
